I'm so very sorry for Mrs. Sullivan's passing. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences we go through and cope with. Well intentioned words from our friends and family can help to an extent, but nothing quite fills the emptiness from the space left behind by our loved one. At a time like this, it may be difficult to know where to turn to for real comfort. Acts 24:15 tells of a promise that God himself has made for us in which he says he will bring back our loved ones and return them to us. Isn't that an amazing comfort? Can you imagine having your beloved Shirley to embrace as if she was never gone? At the moment, the wound is still very new, and it may feel as if it will never heal. It won't be the same for quite some time, but with time and hope in God's promise, I hope that you can endure the loss for now until the day comes that you can welcome Shirley back with open arms and not fear losing her again (Isaiah 25:8).
