CASTORLAND – Shirley Marolf Mann, 64, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Lowville Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Pearson officiating. Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Lowville Baptist Church, 7627 N. State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Mann of Castorland, a daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Michael Sorenson of Las Cruces, New Mexico; three step children, Richard Mann, of Florida, Sheryl Ann Kotora of Pennsylvania; Cindy and John Murray of Mannsville, New Jersey; her siblings, Charles Marolf of Carthage, Robert and Judy Marolf, of Carthage, Elaine and Howard Lyndaker of Castorland, Sharon and John Moser of West Virginia, Randy Marolf, of Carthage; and a brother-in-law, Francis Main of Lowville, five grandchildren of her own, Taylor, Ethan, Hunter, Katey, and Zachary, her special niece, Fran Lacey, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her sister, Marie Main, two brothers, Richard Marolf; and a brother, Lyle, who died in infancy.
Shirley was born on January 25, 1952 in Carthage, NY, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Doris Getman Marolf. She graduated from Beaver River Central School in 1970. On November 4, 1974, she married Richard Mann in Somerville, NJ. Mrs. Mann was a homemaker and a caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed her animals and her hobby farm. Shirley also enjoyed canning and gardening, remembering birthdays and sending cards to family and friends, as well as taking her dogs to the Lewis County Fair Dog Show.
Shirley was a member of the Lowville Baptist Church, and also a former member of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Lowville.
