CROGHAN – Robin Glen Davis, 56, of Red Pine Lane, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 7, 2016, at his home, under the loving care of his family and Lewis County Hospice. 

A Funeral Mass will be said at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan, with Rev. Donald J. Manfred, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Croghan.  Calling hours will be held from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  A gathering will be held following the burial at the St. Stephen’s Church Hall.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 38, Croghan, NY  13327; or to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY  13367.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anne; two children, Christopher, a student at The Crane School of Music, and Alexandra, a student at SUNY Potsdam; his mother, Jean Davis of Fort Covington, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Mark Jones of Easton, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Debbie Davis of Clayton, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Juergen Klingenberg of Balston Spa, NY; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Kevin Ku of Overland Park, KS; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Cindy Cribbs of San Jose, CA, and Bob and Tang Ling Cribbs of Austin, TX; several aunts, uncles,  nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his father, Glen Davis, who died November 26, 2015; and a brother-in-law, Rev. Jim Cribbs.

Robin was born on February 28, 1960 in Malone, NY, a son of the late Glen Davis and Jean Collette Davis.  He graduated from Salmon River Central School in 1978, and from SUNY Potsdam in 1982.  Robin worked as a loan officer for St. Lawrence National Bank in Carthage.  On August 24, 1985, he married Anne E. Cribbs at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sidney, NY.   Mr. Davis continued to work at the bank, until returning to school at Clarkson University, where he earned his MBA.  In 1993, Robin began his employment at WWNY Channel 7 in Watertown as Business Manager, where he worked until the present time. 

Mr. Davis was a communicant of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan, where he was a cantor and lector.  He was a member of B.P.O.E. #1762, Carthage Elks Lodge, and a long-time member of the Carlowden Country Club.  Robin was a statistician for his wife’s Beaver River Central School Girls Varsity Swim Team.  He was a member of the Beaver River Central School Relay for Life Team.  He refereed hockey for a number of years, and had an opportunity to referee at The Empire State Games in Lake Placid, NY.

Robin enjoyed photography, playing the piano, and being a dance dad.  He was a sports enthusiast, enjoying golf, kayaking, bowling, and playing on the Channel 7 softball, basketball and hockey teams.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
