Nancy Renodin Obituary

LOWVILLE- Nancy A. Renodin, 80, of East State Street, Lowville, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. 

A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville, with Rev. Jay Seymour, officiating.   Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyons St, East Syracuse, NY 13057 and Lewis County Humane Society P.O. Box 682 Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by five children and their spouses, Cheryl and James A. Martin of Limon, CO; Tina Renodin of Lowville; David and Barbara Renodin of Freehold, NJ; Douglas Renodin of Lowville; Mark and Amy Renodin of Ithaca; a granddaughter and her husband, Christa and Mike Spitale of Lakewood, CO; three great grandchildren; Phi, Austin, and Mia; three siblings   , Veronica F. and James Proulx of Central Square, Frederick C. and Flo Veitch of Okechobee, FL, Pauline E. Babcock of Lowville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Charles “Doug” Renodin, who died on February 20, 2010; a brother William G. Veitch; and a sister, Juanita Briot.

Mrs. Renodin was born on May 12, 1938 in Lowville, a daughter of the late George and Nellie Dickenson Veitch. She graduated from Lowville Academy and worked for Beaverite Products, Beaver Falls, before her marriage. On November 17, 1961, she married Charles D. “Doug” Renodin at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Croghan. She raised her family and was a homemaker.

Nancy was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lowville and enjoyed crocheting. She loved country and western music, singing in talents shows and at gatherings, and singing in the choir at St. Peter’s Church, New Bremen. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
