CROGHAN- Mary A. McIntyre-Peters, 61, of NYS Route 812, died on Monday morning, August 14, 2017 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Lowville, with the Rev. Keith W. Hardy, Jr. pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery.  Calling hours will be from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 on Monday August 21, 2017 at the Iseneker Funeral Home, Lowville, NY. 

Mrs. McIntyre was born on August 3, 1956 in Constableville, NY, daughter of the late Laurence Dolan and Pearl Daubach Dolan.  She graduated from South Lewis Central School in 1974. On August 1, 1981 Mary wed James S. McIntyre, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenfield, with the Rev. Charles Cotter, officiating.  He died on June 2, 2006.

Mary worked at Lewis County General Hospital for many years. Before her retirement she worked for Dr. James Stillerman, surgeon, for 12 years. On March 10, 2012 she married Mark A. Peters in Glenfield, NY.  She was currently working as a physician’s office assistant at Lowville Urgent Care.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Peters, a daughter and her fiancé, Meghan McIntyre and Darwin Forte, Croghan; a son and daughter-in-law, James S. Jr. and Beth McIntyre, Watson; five grandchildren; Gavryella and Grasyn Forte, Abigail, Logan and Colton McIntyre; three brothers, Ronald and Margaret Dolan, Copenhagen, Steven and Carol Dolan, Virginia, William Dolan, Croghan; and many nieces and nephews. Mary is also predeceased by granddaughter, Kaylee Marie McIntyre in June 2007, a brother Fred, in 1999, and a niece, Michelle Dolan in 1987.

Mary was a member of the Lewis County Memorial Post #6912 Lady’s Auxiliary, and also volunteered for the Domestic Abuse Hotline. She enjoyed computer games, camping, and she loved people. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
