LOWVILLE – Karen F. Bush, 53, of Patten Road, formerly of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville, with Rev. Mr. Ronald Pominville, officiating.  Burial will be in Castorland Union Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the funeral home.  All are welcome to attend a gathering at the Lowville VFW following the graveside service.  Any food donations for the gathering may be taken directly to the VFW after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.  Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jeff; two sons, Timothy M. Bush and Matthew R. Bush, both of Lowville; her five brothers and three sisters, Lawrence Graser of Syracuse; Michael Graser of Syracuse;  Norman and Kelly Graser of Clyde; Mark Martin of Fulton; John and Deborah Martin of Fulton; Debra and Luke Smith of Kentucky; her twin sister, Kathleen Graser of Oswego; Kelly Martin of Fulton; family friends, Casey Eick, Kimberly Lane, Christina O’Connor, William Runner, Steve and Martha Millard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is predeceased by her parents, Lawrence Graser and Barbara E. Graser Martin; her step-father, Arthur D. Martin; her maternal grandmother, Mildred Heckman, two step-brothers, Arthur D. Martin, Jr., and Douglas L. Martin; and by a niece, Laura Graser.

Karen was born on October 14, 1961 in Syracuse, a twin daughter of the late Lawrence Graser and Barbara E. Hurley Graser Martin, and step-daughter of Arthur D. Martin.  She graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton in 1980, and attended Oswego State University.  On March 1, 1991, she married Jeffrey J. Bush at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Copenhagen, with Rev. Robert Cotter officiating.  The couple moved to Montague, where they lived for 13 years, before moving to their present home on Patten Road in 2001.  Karen worked for Farney’s Home and Building Center in Carthage for 25 years. 

She enjoyed trips to Turning Stone and NASCAR races.  She enjoyed attending her sons’ sporting events and community sporting events.  Karen was known to the community kids as Mama Bush.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
