Joseph A. Zeosky

LOWVILLE - Joseph “Joe” Zeosky, 82, of West State Street, Lowville, passed away suddenly on June 30, 2017 at the Lewis County General Hospital.

Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia ‘Kay’ Rowell Zeosky. He is survived by his four children: Joseph Zeosky, his wife Shirley of Doha, Qatar, and their children Amanda, Daniel and Michael; Gerald Zeosky and his wife Kim of Clifton Park, NY, and their children Matthew, Jonathan and Kevin; Sandy Snair and her husband Alan of Mechanicsburg, PA, and their children Elizabeth, Aaron and Scott; Gary Zeosky of Acton, MA; his sister Joan Tofani of Ilion, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joe was born on July 5, 1934, in Turin, NY, son of Joseph and Stella Drelick Zeosky.  On June 19, 1954, he married Patricia ‘Kay’ Rowell at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Houseville. From 1955-1998, the couple owned and operated a successful dairy farm on Payne Road in Turin before retiring in Lowville. Joe served on the boards of Agway and St. Lawrence National Bank, and received numerous awards that included the Outstanding Senior Farmer Award and the Highest Lewis County Herd Average Award.

Joe enjoyed the outdoors. His hobbies included maintaining his yard, watching his birdfeeders, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and spending time with family.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Houseville followed by a burial service in the Turin Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a luncheon at St. Hedwig’s Parish Hall immediately following the burial. Calling hours are from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. in Lowville.
