John P. Heinrich

CROGHAN- John P. Heinrich, 95, of Steiner Road, formerly of Feasterville, PA, passed away Monday evening, September 19, 2016, at the home of his daughter, under the loving care of his family and Lewis County Hospice. 

John was born on March 20, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late John and Katherine Puhl Heinrich.  John was a lifelong resident of Lower Southampton Township, and served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Rita Heinrich of Southampton, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dr. Thomas Birk of Croghan, NY; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.  He is predeceased by his wife, Anna M. Heinrich; a daughter, Carol A. Heinrich; and a sister, Josephine Tressel.

Viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Bede Catholic Church, Holland, PA.  Interment with
Military Honors will be at 11:30 a.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.
