Harold J. Prince

LOWVILLE -  Harold J. “Hal” Prince, 60, of Campbell Street, passed away on Friday evening, September 22, 2017 at Faxton,-St. Luke’s Healthcare, Utica.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  A calling hour will be from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to the Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, NY  13367.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda; a daughter Amanda Lillian Prince and her boyfriend, Spenser Morgan of Richmond, VA; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Craig and Sherry Gordon of Plainview, LI, NY, Allen and Karoline Prince of Stewartsville, NJ, Dr. Terry Prince of Hutchinson Island, FL, Dr. Brett and Dr. Marnie Prince of NJ, a sister-in-law, Becky Carr of Cartersville, GA; an aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Phil Prager of Glenfield; an aunt and uncle, Joan and Theodore Roum of Marlboro, NJ, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is predeceased by a brother, Dr. Joseph Prince.

Hal was born on June 21, 1957 in East Orange, New Jersey, a son of the late Theodore and Beverly Roum Prince.  He graduated from high school and college in New Jersey.  He was a salesman for Sunbeam Bread in New Jersey and also worked as a car inspector for the DMV in New Jersey before moving to Lowville in 2003.  Hal was a substitute bus driver for Copenhagen Central School. 

He cared for his community through his membership in BPOE #1605, Lowville Elks Lodge and the Lowville Lions Club.

Hal loved cars, barbequing and cooking, his record collection & music, and technology.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and big dogs.  He will be most remembered for his quirky sense of humor and unique personality.
